Date: 17th April 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Venue: SOBUS Hall
Organised By: ISTE Student Chapter (Indian Society for Technical Education Student Chapter), Shirpur
Number of participants: 72
The “3D Innovate Expo 2026,” organised by the ISTE Student Chapter, NMIMS Shirpur, was successfully conducted at SOBUS Hall with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The event showcased innovative 3D printing designs and creative engineering models developed by students and marked the first official event organised by the ISTE Student Chapter. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Suresh Kurumbanshi and Dr. Vishal Fegade, who initiated and coordinated the proceedings of the expo. Their support and encouragement motivated students to confidently present their innovative ideas, technical models, and 3D-printed designs.
The expo was formally inaugurated by Dr. Venkatadri M, Associate Dean, MPSTME; Dr. Srikanth P, Head of the IT Department; and Dr. Govind Rajput, Head of the ASH Department. They visited the exhibition area and explored the various 3D printing projects and engineering prototypes displayed by the students. During the interaction sessions, the faculty members appreciated the creativity, technical knowledge, and practical implementation demonstrated by the participants. Several faculty members from different departments also visited the expo, interacted with students regarding their projects, and shared valuable suggestions and feedback.
Faculty members encouraged certain student teams to proceed with patent filing for their innovative project ideas and designs. This recognition greatly motivated the students and reflected the originality and potential impact of the projects presented during the exhibition.
The event provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their creativity, innovation, and practical understanding of 3D printing and automation technologies. The active participation of students and the positive response from faculty members contributed significantly to the overall success of the expo. Overall, “3D Innovate Expo 2026” concluded successfully with appreciation from attendees, faculty members, and organisers alike. The event not only promoted innovation and engineering creativity but also marked a successful beginning for the ISTE Student Chapter through its first official event. The expo effectively encouraged students to explore advanced manufacturing technologies, design thinking, and innovative engineering solutions.
